Tax Practice

If you are interested in tax practice, you have the opportunity to engage in a broad range of litigation, transactional work and legal counseling in private practice, as in-house counsel, or in public practice. You may decide to pursue a career advising businesses regarding the tax implications of their decisions, to assist individuals with federal, state, local, and international tax problems, to specialize in estate planning and wealth distribution, to work for a federal or state government agency interpreting or enforcing tax law, or to work with the legislature in assisting in the developing and drafting of tax legislation.  Whatever direction you want take your tax practice, you will benefit from the rich array of tax courses in both the J.D. and the LL.M. curriculum.
