Jake Becker is the Chairman of the 2012-2013 Moot Court Board. Last year, Jake competed in the National First Amendment Moot Court Competition. This past summer, Jake worked as a certified legal intern in the Delaware County (PA) District Attorney’s Office. Jake previously worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Linda Carpenter on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and in the Villanova Civil Justice Clinic. Prior to entering law school Jake he was the Head Manager for the Villanova Men’s Basketball Team, an intern for USA Basketball, and he interned for U.S. Senator Bob Casey Jr. He is from Broomall, Pennsylvania and graduated from Villanova University. He is interested in sports and entertainment law and employment law. |

Rachel Miller is the 2012-2013 Summer Competition Coordinator and the Reimel Evaluator. In 2012, Rachel competed at the Dean Jerome Prince Evidence Competition. Last summer she was a legal intern at the Montgomery County (PA) District Attorney’s Office. During her 1L summer, Rachel was a judicial intern for The Honorable Shelley Robins New at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is from Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. Rachel is interested in criminal law and international law. |

Joseph Dell'Aquila is a 2012-2013 Co-Director of External Competitions. Last year, Joe competed in the Tulane Mardi Gras Sports Law Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana. Last summer, he was a Summer Associate in the ARAMARK Corporation legal department. Joe previously worked as an intern for the Honorable Glynnis D. Hill of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of the General Counsel, Department of Education. Prior to law school, he spent three years with Teach for America teaching in the South Bronx, NY. He is from State College, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University in 2006. Joe is interested in tax, commercial transactions, and corporate law. |

Amanda Fernandez is a 2012-2013 Co-Director of External Competitions. Last year, Amanda competed in the Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Competition. Last summer Amanda was an intern at the Delaware County (PA) District Attorney’s Office. During her 1L summer, she was an intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to law school, Amanda worked as a Judicial Assistant for the Honorable Lisa. S. Walsh at the North Dade Justice Center in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Florida International University in 2007 and is originally from Miami, Florida. Amanda is interested in criminal law and international law. |

Andrea May is a 2012-2013 Reimel’s Competition Co-Coordinator. In addition to winning the 52nd Annual Honorable Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition, Andrea competed in the Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition at the Elon University School of Law in North Carolina. This past summer, she served as an intern for the United States Navy Judge Advocate General Corps, Great Lakes Naval Station. Andrea worked as an intern at the Montgomery County (PA) District Attorney’s office over the summer following her 1L year. Prior to entering law school, Andrea was an intern at the Court Appointed Special Advocates in Lake County, Illinois. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2010 and is from Lake Forest, Illinois. Andrea is interested in military and criminal law. |

Ben Guez is a 2012-2013 Reimel’s Competition Co-Coordinator. Ben previously competed in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. He graduated from Drexel University in 2007 and is from Penn Valley, PA. Ben recently worked as an intern at Sirlin, Gallogly, and Lesser, P.C. and is interested in commercial litigation. |

Nicole Santiago is the 2012-2013 Judicial Liaison. In 2012, Nicole competed in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Last summer Nicole was a summer associate at Pietrantoni, Mendez & Alvarez. During her 1L summer, she was a summer associate at Pepper Hamilton LLP. She is from San Juan, Puerto Rico and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Nicole is interested in corporate and real estate law. |

Melissa Scacchitti is the 2012-2013 Reimel Competition Bench Memo Coordinator. In 2012, Melissa competed in the William B. Spong Moot Court Competition. For the past two summers, Melissa worked as a law clerk for the Foley Law Firm in Scranton, PA. During spring 2012, Melissa was an intern at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) as a hearings intern/clerk for the Administrative Judges. She graduated from the University of Scranton in 2010 and is from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Melissa is interested in civil rights and employment law. |

Kelsey Hackem is the 2012-2013 Board Administrator. In 2012, Kelsey competed in the Tulane Mardi Gras Sports Law Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana. Since January 2012, Kelsey has worked as a law clerk at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP in Philadelphia. During her 1L summer, Kelsey was a Summer Associate in the ARAMARK Corporation legal department. Since September 2011, she has volunteered at the Supervision to Aid Reentry Program (STAR) in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and during the spring of 2012, she was an intern at the Federal Community Defenders Office of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Capital Habeas Unit. She is from Highland, Michigan and graduated from the University of Florida in 2009. |
