J.D. LL.M. in International Studies
To prepare for a legal career in today’s global economy, you should become familiar with the principles of international practice. Whether you are interested in business law, tax, human rights, family law, or practically any other area of law, an introduction to the law of other countries and to international law provides a valuable foundation for your future career. Some students strengthen this foundation by studying abroad.
Villanova Law offers exceptional opportunities to study abroad. You may chose to spend a summer studying in Rome. Or you may choose to spend a full year abroad in our International Studies J.D./LL.M. program, earning an LL.M. (Master’s Degree in Law) degree from one of our outstanding partner schools as well as your Villanova Law J.D. Currently, students from Villanova Law study in Europe and Asia at our four partner schools:
- Birkbeck College, The University of London, England;
- The University of Edinburgh School of Law, Scotland;
- The Leiden University Faculty School of Law, located in The Netherlands, approximately 20 minutes from The Hague; and
- The National University of Singapore, set in the commercial heart of southeast Asia.
