The economic conditions of the past two years have greatly affected many legal markets, and we have seen an increase in the number of alumni who are requesting career services. In an attempt to meet this increased need, the Office of Career Strategy & Advancement has added new resources and is working to create and implement more alumni-focused initiatives.
Alumni Job Search
Whether you are dealing with a mid-career transition, rebounding from a layoff, returning to the legal profession after significant time away, or just looking for a different opportunity, you are not alone and there are many resources available to you. We have made the materials on this site available as a first stop for alumni embarking on a job search. Job Postings on Symplicity
We post legal job listings in our career information system powered by Symplicity. Many listings come from Villanova graduates, and the site is free from "blind" postings that you may find on some commercial sites. Our postings come from diverse sources and locations, and are a mix of entry-level and experienced opportunities. Symplicity requires users to set up an individual, password protected account. Instructions for creating an account or re-activating your student account can be found here.
Reciprocity Privileges and Job Bulletins
If you are searching outside the Greater Philadelphia area, see the Reciprocity Guide to access other law school alumni bulletins or to arrange use of another law school’s career library. Contact careers@law.villanova.edu to obtain a user id and password to access bulletins.
Career Strategy Alumni Update
The Office of Career Strategy & Advancement distributes an e-newsletter to assist alumni, recent and more experienced, with job search and career planning information. To receive the newsletter, send your name, graduation year and email address to Career Strategy Alumni Update.
