The "SYMPLICITY" system is where Career Strategy publishes job notices to students about all employment opportunities offered through the following programs. Students receive e-mail reminders to check Symplicity often, as new opportunities are added every day. NOTE: First Year students may apply for jobs after December 1.
"On Campus" Interviewing
Employers interview at the Law School. Career Strategy collects student applications according to an employer's deadline and transmits them to the employers. Employers select the students they intend to interview (although they are encouraged to interview all candidates if possible.) Career Strategy schedules interviews which take place at the Law School (or when needed, at the Villanova Conference Center). For the earliest Fall On Campus Interviews, students apply online using Symplicity beginning in July. For later Fall On Campus Interviews, applications are collected online through the late Summer and Fall semester. For Spring On Campus Interviews, Career Strategy collects applications beginning in January and on a rolling basis throughout the semester.
Many employers prefer to host interviews at their office. For employers who cannot visit our campus, Career Strategy collects applications online according to their preferred deadlines. Employers (not Career Strategy) arrange interviews directly at the employer's location. The earliest Fall "Collecting Resumes" applications are collected online in July. Later Fall "Collecting Resumes" applications are collected on a rolling basis throughout the Fall Semester. Spring "Collecting Resumes" begins in January and continues throughout the semester.
A wide variety of employers prefer that students simply send applications directly to their office, not through the Law School. For "Send Directly" opportunities, students send applications directly to the employers. Employers (not Career Strategy) arrange interviews directly at the employer's location. Students apply according to employer deadlines beginning as early as July or August, and continuing on a rolling basis throughout the school year.
