How to Find Materials
The Career Strategy & Advancement Office maintains an extensive library of legal career development materials for student and alumni use.
The Career Strategy Office Library is located in the main Career Strategy Office suite, at Room 42. The Career Strategy Library collection is easy to browse, and current students may borrow materials overnight.
To research the Career Strategy Library collection, use INNOPAC. Career Strategy Office Library materials are cataloged on the Villanova Law Library Catalog system called
“INNOPAC.”
To search the Villanova Law Library Catalog for Career Strategy Library
Resources:
- Go to the Villanova Law Library home page (http://www.law.villanova.edu/library/) and click the INNOPAC icon (or type the catalog address at:
http://innopac.law.villanova.edu).
- Once at “INNOPAC”, click on SEARCH THE CATALOG to search by Author, Title, Subject or Keywords.
- To limit your search to Career Strategy Library materials located in the Career Strategy Office Library, click the blue button that says
"LIMIT THIS SEARCH." Then click the pull-down menu for
"WHERE THE ITEM IS LOCATED" and choose J> CAREER
STRATEGY. (If you simply search by Author, Title or Keyword you will get results for the whole library database.)
- The best approach is to search by SUBJECT using the specific subject terms used in the Career Strategy Office Library. This will usually retrieve only materials kept in Career Strategy and you will not have to
LIMIT THIS SEARCH. (One exception is the Career Strategies subject CORPORATIONS which is also a valid library subject term.) The Career Strategy Office Library subject terms are listed below for your reference.
