Sean Harper
The Right Law School and the Right Location
After earning his B.S. and M.S.W. from Arizona State University, Shawn Harper wanted to come to the East Coast for law school. “Villanova Law is really well known in Arizona and has a great reputation.” He is very positive about the area and his law school experience. He and his wife, who is working on her Ph. D. in social work, live in downtown Philadelphia and enjoy being able to take advantage of all the city has to offer. He is also taking advantage of opportunities at VLS and is participating in Moot Court this year. A former social worker, Shawn worked with Child Protective Services in Arizona. He plans to continue working on children’s issues when he finishes law school. “As a lawyer I’ll have the skill set to overcome the limitations I often encountered as a social worker and better assist the marginalized communities that I’ll continue to serve.”
