The article won the 2013 McFarland-SABR Award, which honors the best articles on baseball history or biography of the year.
His book review, “Conspiracy of Silence: Sportswriters and the Long Campaign to Desegregate Baseball,” was published in the March, 2013 edition of The International Journal of the History of Sport.

Presented his paper on the resignation of Associate Justice Abe Fortas to the law faculty at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Commenced pro bono representation in an appeal to the D.C. Circuit. The appeal challenges on separation-of-powers grounds the President's power to remove the judges of the U.S. Tax Court. He will handle the oral argument in the appeal.
