Douglas Gaston
Biography
Doug Gaston serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Comcast Cable, the country's leading entertainment and communications company. In this position, he serves as the Company’s principal legal advisor and directs a team of attorneys and legal specialists who provide day to day support to the Company’s operating departments.
Doug previously served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Comcast Cable where he was responsible for managing the Operations Section of the Cable Law Department, advising senior management on strategic transactions, and drafting, reviewing and negotiating strategic agreements.
Before joining Comcast, Doug was an associate in the Business and Finance Department at Morgan Lewis & Bockius, LLP where he worked on mergers and acquisitions, municipal finance and other corporate transactions. He began his legal career as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jan E. Dubois, United States District Court. He holds a J.D. from Villanova University Law School where he served as a staff member of the Villanova Law Review and a B.A. degree in Radio, Television and Film from Temple University where he served as Vice President of the Representative Student Senate. After graduating from Temple University, Doug worked at what was then Suburban Cable Television in Delaware County, Pennsylvania where he was responsible for local origination programming and production. Doug held a similar position for Harron Cable in Malvern prior to joining WPHL-TV, Philadelphia as a producer/director.
Doug is a member of numerous bar and community organizations. He resides in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
