Biography

Margaret A. “Peggy” McCausland opened The Law Offices of Margaret A. McCausland LLC in June 2006.  In January 2010, her daughter Trish McCausland, Villanova Law 1999, joined the practice and the firm became McCausland & McCausland LLC.

The practice focuses on representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law and handles commercial litigation.

Peggy obtained her law degree cum laude from Villanova University School of Law in 1987. In addition to other activities, she served as a staff member, and then Business Editor, of the Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Peggy obtained her B.S. from St. Joseph’s University College summa cum laude, which she attended for seven years at night. Prior to opening her own firm, Peggy was a partner at Blank Rome LLP. She has served as adjunct faculty at Villanova Law School since 1999.

Peggy has lectured extensively and regularly provides corporate training to assist employers in avoiding employment-related litigation. Her legal ability has been recognized by her peers in the legal profession who have voted her a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer the last seven years running. She was the second recipient of the Citizens Pro Bono Award for her volunteer work representing abused and neglected children.

She has also been recognized by members of the business community – in 2001, she was selected as one of 25 Women of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
