Biography

Seval Yildirim joins us from Whittier Law School, where she has taught since 2005, following a year as a Visiting Scholar at New York University’s Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies. Professor Yildirim served as the Director of Whittier’s Center for International and Comparative Law during the 2007-08 academic year, and she is the incoming chair of the Islamic Law Committee of the Association of American Law Schools. Professor Yildirim received her BA in women’s studies and politics from Randolph-Macon Women’s College, her MA in international affairs from George Washington University, and her JD and LLM from New York University School of Law. Professor Yildirim will teach Constitutional Law II and Islamic Law in the fall and International Law (1L elective) and Constitutional Law I in the spring.
