*** This course was previously known as the Professional Responsibility Symposium. Effective September 1, 2008, the professional responsibility requirement will be integrated into the Tax Research and Writing course. The required professional responsibility material will be presented in three course sessions taking place toward the end of the semester. The lectures will be recorded. The audio recording and accompanying power point slides will be posted on a separate blackboard classroom entitled “Professional Responsibility”.
All students who have completed Tax Research and Writing prior to September 1, 2008, but who have NOT completed their Professional Responsibility requirement are required to register for Professional Responsibility (LTX-4000), enroll in the professional responsibility blackboard classroom, and listen to all three audio segments and complete any related exercises before the last day of the examination period in the semester for which the student is registered for the course.
There is no charge for this course. However, all degree candidates must complete the professional responsibility requirement as a condition of graduation.
**** All M.T. candidates must take this course. LL.M. candidates are not eligible to enroll.
