Alumni Start New Environmental Law Firm
David J. Brooman, ’82 and David W. Buzzell, ’88, recently started their own environmental law firm in Berwyn. The new suburban boutique firm opened on June 20th under the name of Brooman Buzzell & Garber.
The move was led by David J. Brooman, a former partner in Drinker Biddle and Reath’s Environmental and Energy Practice Group located in Berwyn, PA. Brooman, in an interview with the Legal Intelligencer, reports that clients are “ecstatic” about the new firm. The firm will continue to do business with Drinker Biddle when they need top talent in areas such as real estate law, corporate law and tax law. Brooman also told the Legal Intelligencer that environmental law is entering a period of “innovation and creation” as recycling, reuse, and conservation continue to be hot topics in the waste industry. Environmental litigation “will keep us going for at least another generation”.
In addition to his JD from Villanova University School of Law, David J. Brooman received a B.A. from Rutgers University in 1979. He is admitted to the PA and NY Bar Associations, U.S. Court of Appeals, and the District of Columbia Circuit.
David W. Buzzell, in addition to his JD from Villanova University School of Law, earned a BS from Lehigh University in 1983, and is a member of the PA and NY Bar Associations.
