Villanova Law Bar Recognition Ceremony 2011
The Villanova Law Alumni Association and the Office of Career Strategy and Advancement will recognize the 171 Villanova graduates who passed the Pennsylvania bar examination this year in a ceremonial ‘swearing in’ to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, December 7. Those admitted to the bar this year, their guests and distinguished alumni will be on hand in the Ceremonial Courtroom of Philadelphia City Hall as the Honorable James J. Fitzgerald III, ’66, administers the attorney’s oath.
Villanova Law School graduates who took the bar examination for the first time this year passed at a 91.5% rate, among the highest passing rates in the state. “The caliber of the students graduating from Villanova Law and sitting for the bar exam is a reflection of their personal dedication and the quality of education they have received,” said Alumni Association President John P. Kopesky. “We’re really quite proud of them, and are pleased to welcome them into the ranks of ‘attorney-at-law.’”
