VLS Ranks #35 Among Partners in 100 Largest Firms
A recent Journal of Legal Education article, “Where Do Partners Come From?” ranks Villanova University School of Law #35 on the list of law schools nationwide from which partners at the 100 largest firms graduated.
The article, published by Professor Theodore Seto of Loyola Law School Los Angeles, reports the results of a study to identify the institutions from which junior and mid-level partners (who graduated in the last 25 years) in the 100 largest U.S. firms obtained their JD degrees.
In his analysis, Seto writes, “For hiring partners, the results may be relevant to deciding where to spend recruiting resources. For law school applicants interested in becoming big-firm partners, they may be relevant to deciding where to attend.... All else being equal, students who aspire to join such firms are more likely to have an opportunity to do so if they attend schools with established feeder relationships.”
