PIFP Announces 15th Annual Auction!
Alumni and their guests are invited to attend the 15th annual auction hosted by the Walter Lucas Public Interest Fellowship Program (PIFP) at Villanova Law. The auction will be held on March 23, 2012, beginning at 6 p.m., throughout the Law School building. Come and enjoy food, drinks, entertainment and the opportunity to bid on a wide-array of fantastic items in both a silent and live auction. Past auction items have included stays at vacation homes and timeshares, Villanova memorabilia, sporting and concert tickets, professional artwork, gym memberships, art and music lessons and other services, gift certificates, gift baskets and much more.
Each year a significant number of VLS students hope to spend their summers working for public interest organizations, only to realize that these organizations are unable to pay summer interns. PIFP is an organization of students that raises money year-round to fund summer fellowships for students working in public interest. PIFP also provides fellowships to recent graduates working in public interest positions through the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP). Since its founding in 1998, PIFP has raised more than $650,000 and funded 145 Summer Fellows and six LRAP recipients working at public interest organizations across the United States and around the world.
PIFP hopes to make this the best year yet, but can only do this with your help. There are three ways that you can support PIFP:
- Join the hundreds of students, faculty, alumni and friends who will be in attendance at the auction on March 23.
- Donate items for others to bid on at the auction. If you have an item to donate or have any questions, please contact pifp@law.villanova.edu.
- Make a direct monetary donation to PIFP. You can do this by sending a check to
