Speed Networking, Round Two
The Minority Alumni Society is teaming up with the Villanova Law Alumni Association and the Office for Career Strategy to host a second Speed Networking event for Villanova Law students on February 29.
Based loosely on speed dating, the law students spend five minutes talking with alumni one-on-one. It gives the students a chance to practice ‘breaking the ice,’ answering questions about their career goals, and learning how to be specific in their request for further contact. When a bell rings, the students move on to the next table, and the process starts over. Speed Networking is a great way for alumni to share advice and encouragement with current students. Feedback after the first event last fall was very positive.
To make the event a success, we need more alumni to participate! The event will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m., February 29, in the Blank Rome Dining Room at the Law School. To volunteer to network with students, please reply to alumni@law.villanova.edu by Friday, February 24.
