Honoring Dr. King’s Legacy
As part of the Law School’s annual celebration of the legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., students, faculty and staff spent MLK Day 2010 volunteering at The Arc of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Developmental Disabilities Corporation (PDDC). This was the third year that Villanova Law returned to work with the clients and staff at The Arc. The Arc and PDDC provide training, advocacy and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Volunteers spent the day painting classrooms, cleaning storage space in the basement and doing yard work. Angela Hennesy ’12 helped with the clean-up efforts.
