Eppolito's Second Year as Chair of PBA House of Delegates

Following the conclusion of the PA Annual Meeting in Lancaster, PA on May 11, 2012, Charles Eppolito, III ’95, Partner at White and Williams L.L.P., began his second year as Chair of the PBA House of Delegates.

Eppolito has been a member of the PBA’s House of Delegates since 2001, serving as a member of the PBA Board of Governors from 2001 to 2004 and again from 2007 to 2010 and as PBA Secretary from 2007 to 2010.  In addition to serving as the Chair of the House of Delegates, Eppolito also currently sits as the Vice Chair of the PBA Membership Development Committee and has held several other PBA committee positions including, Chair of the PBA Quality of Life/Balance Committee, Vice Chair of the PBA Health Care Law Committee, Co-Chair of the 2005 to 2006 Annual Meeting Task Force, Co-Chair of the PBA Midyear Meeting and Chair of the PBA Young Lawyers Division from 2002 to 2003.   He is also a member of the PBA Women in the Profession and Minority Bar Committees.  In 2007, the PBA awarded him with the Michael K. Smith Excellence in Service Award for his exemplary service to the legal profession and the community.

In addition to his involvement with the PBA, Eppolito has also served as a Hearing Committee member for the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court since 2004 and has been very active in the American Bar Association, serving in its House of Delegates and on the House Tellers Committee, the Medical Professional Liability Standing Committee, the Bioethics and the Law Special Committee and the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.  He also served as the Chair of the Medicine and Law Committee of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, and received the Exceptional Achievement Award in 2010, as a result.  

As a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Eppolito has served on the Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Division, and is a member of the PA Defense Institute, previously serving as Chair of its Young Members' Committee as well.  He has also held leadership positions within the Young Lawyers Sections of the Centre and Dauphin County Bar Associations and is a Board Member of the Justinian Society of Philadelphia.

Eppolito has been named a Pennsylvania "Rising Star" attorney since 2005 by Law & Politics magazine, and a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by Pennsylvania Law Weekly and The Legal Intelligencer.

He also has been a speaker or panelist for a number of professional programs and has coordinated and presented public programs nationally about the jury system and about diversity and tolerance. He is a member of Variety Club – The Children’s Charity of Greater Philadelphia, and is a supporter of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
