Alumni Invited to Admitted Students Day Reception, March 31
Villanova University School of Law will hold its 2012 Admitted Students Open House on Saturday, March 31. In addition to tours of the building, admitted students will have the opportunity to attend a ‘mock’ class by Professor Ann Juliano, hear from current students about life in law school, and will attend panels featuring VLS alumni. The Office of Career Strategy and Advancement will host a panel on “Your Law Degree in Practice,” with Stanley Phelps ’95 and April Byrd ’95. Both will present a work assignment that a first year attorney can expect, and will interact with the students on the best approach to accomplish the task. “Ready to Practice on Day One,” a panel moderated by Assoc. Dean Christine Mooney, includes law alumni Douglas Rosenblum ’03, and Michael Trachtman ’74. They will discuss what VLS is doing to assure that graduates are prepared to hit the ground running in their new careers.
The Open House will conclude with a community reception at 4 p.m, in the Arthur M. Goldberg Commons. Alumni are invited to come and mingle with admitted students and their families as they make the important decision about whether to attend VLS this fall.
