Additions to VLS Advancement Team
James C. Garvey, Ed.D., Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, welcomed three new members to Villanova Law’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations team.
Sarah N. Ponzio, VL ’04 is returning to her alma mater to serve as the Law School’s new Director of Alumni Relations. Sarah brings experience in alumni relations serving as University of Delaware’s VAST Representative from 2009-2012. Most recently, Sarah was an associate attorney at Vetrano & Vetrano, where she focused her practice on all matters related to family law. Serving as the Law School’s new Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is Kimberly Whitby, a Villanova University graduate of the class of ’98. Kimberly has significant experience in event planning as well as the coordination of executive education at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. More recently, Kimberly was responsible for the creation and implementation of e-Learning training programs for MedConference, LLC, of Norristown, PA. William J. "Bill" Healy is a major gift officer in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. Bill comes to Villanova from the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, where he served as associate director for Major Gifts and Planned Giving. Previously, he served as senior philanthropy adviser for the Brooklyn College Foundation. Prior to this, Bill practiced law in California and coached basketball at Baruch College and later Hunter College, where he also served as the assistant director of Athletics, Recreation and Intramurals. He holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law, and a B.S. from St. Joseph's University, where he was a member of the men's basketball team from 1978-1982.
