Jennifer Henfey Quoted in Philadelphia Business Journal
A recent article in the Philadelphia Business Journal reports on the falling number of entry-level associates hired by Philadelphia’s largest law firms. Indicating that this number has dropped 39 percent from five years ago, Jennifer Henfey ’99, Director of the Office of Career Strategies and Advancement, noted that “with fewer positions available at large firms, more students are looking at smaller firms or judicial clerkships as well as government and public interest jobs.”
Henfey was recently appointed as Villanova Law School’s new Director of the Office of Career Strategies and Advancement. Prior to her appointment, she was a partner at Blank Rome LLP. She brings with her extensive experience in hiring and recruiting as Blank Rome’s former chair of Recruiting and Retention Committee also having served as their hiring partner for the Philadelphia office. While at Blank Rome, Henfey concentrated her practice in commercial finance, primarily representing banks and other financial institutions.
