Congratulations Amber Slattery! Winner of the "Young Alumni Group" Naming Contest
On behalf of the Office of Alumni Relations and the Villanova Law Alumni Association’s (VLAA) Executive Committee, it is our pleasure to announce Amber Slattery as the winner of the new Young Alumni Group naming contest, and recipient of a customized VLS Tiffany & Co. Crystal Cushion Bowl!
Slattery is a third year law student at VLS, where she is involved in the Moorad Journal of Sports Law, SBA, Art Law Society and the Admitted Student's Program. Slattery graduated from Boston College in 2010 with a BA in Political Science and Art History and is originally from Freeport, Illinois.
Slattery’s entry, “NovUs,” or ‘young’ in Latin, was unanimously approved by the VLAA Executive Committee as the group’s name.
The goal for NovUs is to create a series of events and programs designed to provide networking opportunities, community service and social functions for current 2L & 3L students and VLS alumni who have graduated within the past five years.
The group's mission is to foster strong relationships between the 2L and 3L students and the VLAA and to provide recent graduates opportunities to remain engaged with Villanova Law through social events, professional networking and service projects.
If you are interested in joining the VLAA’s NovUs Chapter Board or if you have ideas about possible events or projects, please contact Kimberly Whitby, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, at whitby@law.villanova.edu
