VLS Student Wins National Law Review Writing Competition
Villanova University School of Law student Laura Ploeg '13 has been named a winner of the National Law Review (NLR) Fall 2012 Law Student Writing Contest for her article, "Chamber of Commerce v. Whiting: A Law Student's Freewheeling Inquiry." Submissions to the competition are limited to students enrolled in accredited U.S. law schools and are judged by NLR staff on the basis of readability, clarity, organization, timeliness, and usefulness to legal and business professionals.
Ploeg is an associate editor of the Villanova Law Review. She received her B.A. in Communication Studies, with a minor in Spanish, from West Chester University and graduated summa cum laude.
Ploeg's article is featured on the NLR homepage for the month of November, and will continue to be published on the site for two years.
