VLS Students Compete in Inaugural Justice For All 5K
Villanova Law students, alumni, and faculty participated in the Justice for All 5k race in Philadelphia on Saturday, October 10th. Villanova Law School fielded a team in the Law School Challenge, competing against teams of four students and faculty members from 11 of the Philadelphia area law schools. Prizes were awarded to the top three teams and to the team with the most pre-registered participants. In the individual competition, VLS student Matthew Altenberg ’13 placed fifth overall with a time of 17:36 for the 3.1-mile race. The event raised nearly $15,000 to support Community Legal Services’ mission of providing low-income Philadelphians with equal access to justice and legal services.
