VLS Appoints Associate Director of Alumni Career Programs

 

Meg Cranford has joined Villanova University School of Law (VLS) as Associate Director of Alumni Career Programs, a new position created within the Law School’s Office of Career Strategy and Advancement. In her new role, Cranford will oversee career strategy services for VLS alumni, including counseling in legal career planning, resume preparation, job search strategies, and practice specialties.  She will also assist in counseling students, especially 3Ls, and manage alumni participation and engagement in career development for recent graduates and current students.

Prior to her appointment, Cranford served for 12 years as the Director of Professional Recruiting at Pepper Hamilton, LLP.  Highlights of her tenure at the firm include being part of a team that both implemented a cutting-edge interview model and the managed the nation’s top summer associates program as ranked by The American Lawyer.

A graduate of Villanova University and The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, Cranford received a Human Resource Management Certificate from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Executive Education Program in 2009.  She also worked in the attorney recruiting departments at two other AmLaw 100 firms prior to joining Pepper Hamilton, and has interviewed over 3,000 attorneys and mentored nearly 300 summer associates during her 15-year legal recruiting career.
