VLS Appoints Executive Director of Admissions & Financial Aid

 

Villanova University School of Law (VLS) has announced the appointment of Bayrex Martí as the Executive Director of the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid, effective September 10. Mr. Martí comes to Villanova from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as Associate Director of Admissions and Director of Recruitment.

In his new role, Mr. Martí is responsible for the strategic oversight and management of the School’s admissions and financial aid offices. Working closely with both the faculty and administration, he directs and assesses the comprehensive recruitment, evaluation, and development processes that yield diverse and high-achieving applicant pools and classes that are representative of Villanova’s mission. Mr. Martí also supervises the scholarship budget, allocating and awarding merit, leadership, and endowed scholarships to admitted and continuing students.

“Bayrex Martí brings an impressive wealth of experience to his new role as Executive Director of the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid,” said Michael Moreland, Vice Dean of Villanova University School of Law. “His leadership and innovation will be vital to our recruitment efforts as Villanova forges the next chapter in its history. I am thrilled to welcome him to the Villanova team.”

While at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Mr. Martí participated in all aspects of the school’s admissions and student recruiting process, including the development of the institution’s long-term recruitment strategies and financial aid policies as well as overhauls of its admissions communications. He received his BA in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras and his JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
