Vice Dean Michael Moreland Testifies at U.S. House Hearing
On Wednesday, September 12, Villanova University School of Law Vice Dean Michael Moreland testified at a U.S. House of Representatives hearing on “Expanding the Power of Big Labor: The NLRB’s Growing Intrusion into Higher Education.” Dean Moreland spoke on the topic of NLRB jurisdiction over Catholic colleges and universities.
Additional witnesses included Peter M. Weber, Dean, Brown University Graduate School, Providence, RI; Christian Sweeney, Deputy Organizing Director AFL-CIO, Washington, D.C.; and Walter Hunter, Shareholder, Littler Mendelson P.C., Providence, RI.
The Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions and the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Training jointly hosted this hearing.
