Pre-Law Program (PLUS) Application

In addition to your application, you will need to mail the following materials:

• Essay/Writing Sample
• Official Transcripts
• Letters of Recommendation
• Alien Registration Card (if applicable)

Essay/Writing Sample

Students who participate in the Pre-Law Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) program must have an interest in a legal career. Preference will be given to students who have come from a disadvantaged background or who have overcome significant odds to achieve. Please send a two-page, typed explanation of why you are interested in a legal career or how your background meets the criteria described in the previous sentence.

Transcript

Please send under separate cover an official transcript to your application.

Letters of Recommendation

Please send two letters of recommendation to your application or have the person who is recommending you send the letter as directed below. Each letter of recommendation should speak to your strengths and/or potential strengths as a critical thinker, writer, speaker, student. The reference should also indicate your interpersonal strengths and desire to become a lawyer.

Alien Registration Card

If you are a permanent resident alien, please send a copy of your Alien Registration Card.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is Friday, March 21, 2008.
