PLUS Program FAQ's
How much does the PLUS program cost?
The PLUS program will cover the cost of room and board in a residence hall, required course materials, and all field trips. You will also receive a weekly stipend of $150 to be used to pay for incidental expenses.
How do I arrange for travel to the program?
You are responsible for all of your travel arrangements and expenses for the program.
All participants should report to dormitories on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Staff will be available to assist you. Participants should plan to leave the dormitory to return home on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 after the closing luncheon which will be held from 12 – 2 p.m.
On Tuesday, May 27, 2008, students should report directly to the student dormitory. Villanova Law School staff members will be available to check you in and show you to your room. Information regarding dormitory assignment will be forwarded after you receive your confirmation.
I participated in an LSAC PLUS Program in the past, can I also participate in this program?
No. Students who have participated in an LSAC PLUS Program in the past are ineligible to participate in the program at Villanova University School of Law.
How much of my time will be spent in classes?
The PLUS progam is a full-time commitment. Classes will be conducted Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. Field trips and class surveys are held on Fridays. Students must agree to participate in all scheduled activities for the entire four-week period.
Do I have to live in the dormitory?
All students participating in the program will live in dormitory rooms. This arrangement builds a sense of community among the program participants.
Villanova Law School students will be available around the clock as PLUS program counselors to help guide you through the program and help make the program an enjoyable experience for you.
What type of clothing should I bring?
Casual dress is fine for your classes. You are required to dress professionally for the opening reception, field trips, and for the closing luncheon.
What can we do for fun?
Villanova University’s campus is located 12 miles west of the City of Philadelphia and SEPTA’s R-5 line runs directly from campus into the center of the City. Most famous as the birthplace of American independence and home of the Liberty Bell, Philadelphia offers a unique variety of attractions, culture, entertainment and activities.
