The new Villanova Law School building will be built on what is now the parking for Garey Hall. The design begins with function and reflects the purpose, the mission, the daily needs, and the essence of the Law School. It embodies connection – connection among the members of the Law School community, connection to the profession, connection to the local community and the community at large, connection to the mission and character of the University and to the values, ethos and traditions of Villanova Law School.

Faculty Offices
Faculty offices are centered in one wing, on two floors, connected by a staircase. This wing connects directly to the main classroom areas on both floors, creating a direct pathway from classrooms to offices. Clinic faculty offices will be near the clinic workspace on the first floor, still within the faculty core.
Library
The Library in the new building occupies almost one wing and anchors the grand main entrance. Highly functional, easily accessible and bathed in natural light, the library’s open spaces, glass walls and high ceilings will draw users.
The Clinic Offices
The Clinic’s model law office will occupy space in the back of the main floor easily accessible from the main entrance. It will include functional student work space, ample file storage, private client interview rooms and nearby faculty supervision.
Life Outside the Classroom
The new building contains many comfortable gathering places. The student lounge will open onto the atrium. The cafeteria which will be a full service dining facility and the atrium provide places for calm reflection or spirited conversation. Student organizations will have efficient, comfortable work areas that will be centrally located.
The journal offices will be located in the library with common work areas and storage. A Law School chapel will be dedicated to Our Lady, Mirror of Justice.
Public Venues
The new Law School will include magnificent public places to host the growing number of important and high profile events that occur during the year.
Façade
The façade of the building emphasizes the dignity and importance of the Law School to the University and the larger community while blending beautifully into the campus ambience.
