Circulation of Materials
Faculty can charge out materials themselves, or request the retrieval of a book or periodical from the Library by contacting a member of the Circulation staff or a Reference Librarian. There are no due dates for nonrouted materials, but all materials are subject to recall for use by another researcher.
For information about faculty borrowing privileges and proxy accounts at the University’s Falvey Library, please see the "University Library" section of this guide.
Interlibrary Loans (ILL)
Materials not available at Villanova can be obtained from another library. Copies of the Law Library’s interlibrary loan form can be found on the law library’s homepage, under
Interlibrary Loan, or at the reference desk. You can also contact a Reference Librarian,
Bernadette DiPasquale, Amy
Spare, Lynne Maxwell, or Karen
Jordan.
Acquisitions
To recommend or request new book titles, subscriptions or other resources for possible acquisition by the Law Library, please contact
Steve Elkins, Lynne Maxwell,
or Bill James.
Document Delivery
To request photocopies or printouts of statutes, cases, articles or other materials available in the Law Library or at the University’s Falvey Library, contact a Reference Librarian,
Lynne Maxwell, or Amy
Spare.
Please allow adequate time for your requests. Requests for printouts from databases and photocopies of a few pages can usually be completed fairly quickly. Larger requests consisting of multiple or lengthier texts to be photocopied will be sent to Student Services, and typically take at least a few days to complete.
We will photocopy articles from periodicals available at Falvey Library. A Falvey Library photocopy card is also available for use by faculty research assistants, and can be obtained from a Reference Librarian,
Lynne Maxwell, or Amy
Spare.
