Info
The Women's Law Forum (WLF) at Villanova University School of Law is an electronic legal publication. The WLF seeks to serve as a forum for legal scholarship, to educate and increase awareness on legal issues affecting women, to provide a source for recent developments in the field, and to provide a research tool to the legal community.
The WLF intends to supplement and expand upon the offerings of traditional print journals. The WLF seeks to offer law professors, practicing attorneys, judges, and other professionals the opportunity to publish their articles on-line and to electronically engage in discourse with the legal community to discuss, debate, and ultimately improve their publications.
The WLF consists of three main sections:
Scholarly Articles
WLF's articles section publishes scholarly analyses by law professors,
practicing attorneys, judges, and other professionals. The published articles,
working papers, and speeches address current legal issues affecting women such
as women and families, women and work, and the construction of sexuality. Legal
professionals are invited to submit their papers for publication on the WLF.
Commentary
WLF's Student Commentary section publishes scholarly, in-depth analyses as
well as less formal works by law students addressing specific topics relating to
gender issues. The Student Commentary section seeks to supplement the
educational experience of law students by providing them with the opportunity to
research, write, and contribute to the legal discourse. Students from accredited
law schools are invited to submit their papers for publication on the WLF.
News
WLF's News section presents brief student essays and summaries by WLF staff
members on current news and recent developments in the law relating to gender
issues.
