The mass exodus of schools from the Big East has failed to discourage the Conference from moving forward.  The Big East, which is scheduled to have eleven football and basketball members after Tulane, ECU (2014) and Navy (2015) join the conference, has expressed an interest in keeping its name and adding one more program, giving the Conference an even twelve football and basketball teams.  Luring in a prestigious twelfth school could potentially have a large impact on the Conference’s financial landscape as the Big East is currently in negotiations for a new TV deal.
